Amboseli is worth it for the elephants and Kilimanjaro alone. The iconic backdrops are a social media traveller and photographer's dream. The environment includes an arid lake and sulphur springs which adds to the uniqueness of the national park. The swirling dust adds a foreboding atmosphere that accompanies the wildlife's day to day life. "Amboseli" is a Maasai word for "salty dust" and you will definitely remember Amboseli for it. A cultural trip to immerse yourself into the Maasai culture is highly recommended. The park is almost 400 square km in size, offering the change to see the Big Five (Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard). It is also an excellent location for bird watching.
